The Woodmere public pool received a full renovation that upgraded both the main swimming and dive pools. This project focused on durability, safety, and long-term performance using a high-quality epoxy flooring system.
We began by demolishing and removing all existing fiberglass and deteriorated epoxy coatings. This created a clean slate for the new installation.
Next, our team performed concrete surface repairs, treating over 1,300 square feet of cracks and holes. We used industrial-grade filler to ensure a stable and smooth base.
After repairs, we prepared all surfaces by grinding the pool floors and walls. In the dive pool, scaffolding allowed us to safely reach deep vertical sections.
With the surface ready, we applied the ProRez ProCryl SC epoxy system to more than 33,000 square feet across the main pool, dive pool, and trench areas. This system resists chemicals, moisture, and wear, making it ideal for high-use aquatic spaces.
To restore structural integrity, we completed joint reconstruction. Over 700 linear feet of joints were sealed using MMA joint sealant and backer rods to improve water-tightness.
We then added UV-resistant black epoxy striping for lane lines and stair visibility. In addition, we installed depth markers at 24 deck locations to enhance safety and meet regulatory guidelines.
Overall, this restoration project brought new life to a key community facility. The updated epoxy system improves appearance, function, and maintenance—ensuring the pool can stand up to years of frequent use.
