The relationships garnered with this kind of work has made them an extension of operations in most school districts. Hofstra University was one of the first campuses that Milburn Flooring did work at. They installed the sports floor at Mack Sports Complex and the practice center. This was such a success it set the tone for further advancement.
This past summer Milburn Flooring installed a brand new Pulastic floor on Stony Brook University campus inside the Walter J. Hawrys Recreation and Wellness Center. In just two weeks they installed an 11,000 sq. ft. gym with Robbins® high-performance synthetic flooring. They also laid sheet vinyl with flash cove base in campus laboratories. Flash cove base is the extension of sheet flooring up the wall forming a wall base and is critical to use in sterile environments. Epoxy flooring was installed in dormitory bathrooms and stair treads stationed in the stairways.
SUNY schools and private college/universities were attainable for them because Milburn Flooring is on NY State Contract and they are on track to gain traction in higher education buildings this year.
They began an extensive job at Sarah Lawrence College at the end of February. Milburn ripped up and is installing the entire first floor of the Campbell Sports Center, laying carpet tile in offices, conference rooms and hallways. They will be installing Shaw’s LVT multi-color plank throughout the hallways and into the lobby where a custom water jet logo will greet visitors.
