The Milburn Sports Flooring division specializes in working with clients to make their school spirit shine. We pride ourselves in making every floor unique, incorporating color schemes and design elements that highlight the pride of the community. Gym floors can be personalized with school colors for the game lines and a custom school logo. Milburn installs custom logos in both paint and vinyl. Both techniques of installing a logo can incorporate very detailed designs. The painted logos can have different shades of color utilizing an airbrushing approach. A vinyl decal can be extremely detailed and highly customized. Milburn installers are certified for this type of vinyl logo installation, making anything possible.
Vinyl logos are first installed onto wood floors, and then the team uses a product called Bridge, an adhesive promoter. Then a finisher is used to fully seal the vinyl logo, making it look flush with the gym floor. Another way you can use a vinyl logo is for temporary use, like a special event such as playoffs or homecoming. Vinyl can also be installed permanently on a gym floor without redoing the whole floor. Vinyl imagery has the ability of being installed on walls or lockers. The possibilities are endless to help your school spirit shine. Recent jobs that Milburn has done with vinyl logos include Herricks Middle School, Farmingdale College on wood floors, and Medford Elementary School on Pulastic floors. Recently completed jobs with painted game lines at Farmingdale College and Stony Brook University. A sand and refinish was completed at Farmingdale College Rec Center with a total of 6300 square feet and a Pulastic track around the wood gym floor. The gym floor has a total of 5 detailed logos. One logo includes the school mascot painted in three colors. Two Skyline Conference logos are painted in 4 colors, and two NCAA logos are vinyl and have multiple shades of blue and white within the lettering. Stony Brook University Rec Center received a sand and refinish totaling 20,000 square feet with three basketball courts and three identical logos and is now perfectly branded to reflect the school’s brand.
