Milburn Flooring is known for its unique flooring solutions and perfect installation. With our Blendex by Milburn team, we are capable of working with many types of epoxy. Milburn Flooring installed two epoxy systems at the East Hampton Police Department and Putnam County Golf Course. East Hampton consisted of a ¼” Flake Epoxy System. The Flake System is a double broadcast resurfacing with decorative flakes. Flake systems are “poured-in-place” flooring applications that incorporate many standard or custom blended flake options. Epoxy was placed on the floors and up to 4’ of the walls in the locker rooms and stalls. To help the installation progress and not affect the function of the building, our expert installation team eliminated the need for demolition by installing the epoxy over ceramic tile. Before installing the epoxy floors, the prep work consisted of taping the work area, grinding tile to make it porous, and taking off the shine to allow the epoxy to adhere to the ceramic tile. The finished product made the space look fantastic and functional. Other parts of the police department where Milburn installed new floors were the sally port, booking room, and holding cell with Red-Lux, an Interlocking Solid rubber tile. Red-Lux was installed in these areas due to its durability for high traffic and heavy vehicles and its sound-canceling capabilities. This installation was done smoothly without interrupting everyday business for the police department. The Putnam County Golf Course is another location with Blendex by Milburn epoxy installing a lumina epoxy system. Lumina is a designer series floor coating that combines 100% solid epoxy with unique light-reactive pigments to create a highly stylish, decorative, and hard-wearing finish. As a more decorative epoxy system, it’s perfect for this high-end golf club bar and kitchen. It gives the space functionality with its water/stain-resistance and easy-to-clean features. This floor also boasts a unique color, ginger. The final touch added to the floor was a special wearing course, an additive that enhances abrasion and wear resistance in the finish coat and creates slip resistance.
